FRAME Finnish Fund for Art Exchange provides services and acts as an expert body in international exchanges relating to the visual arts. It gathers and disseminates information about Finnish contemporary art.

FRAME works both on collaborative projects with Finnish or international partners and also independently produces contemporary visual art projects, exhibitions and publications.

FRAME Visitors' Programme invites dozens of foreign curators, critics, art historians and scientists to Finland every year. It is an efficient way of expanding the international contact network and exchanges.

FRAME, established in 1992, works within the Finnish Fine Art painting Academy Foundation and is primarily funded by the Finnish Ministry of Culture.
Viisi suomalaista kuvataiteilijaa mukana 11:ssa Kairon Biennaalissa
11:ssa Kairon Biennaalissa ovat mukana suomalaiset kuvataitelijat Adel Abidin, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Kaarina Kaikkonen, Lauri Nykopp ja Stiina Saaristo. 20. joulukuuta avautuvassa ja 20. helmikuuta päättyvässä biennaalissa keskitytään 'toiseuden' näkökulmiin ja havaintoihin kutsumalla osallistuvia taiteilijoita tutkimaan toiseutta niin itsessä kuin sen ulkopuolella.

The Finnish oil painting included in the 11th Cairo Biennale are Adel Abidin, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Kaarina Kaikkonen, Lauri Nykopp and Stiina Saaristo. This year the biennale will be on view from 20 December 2008 through 20 February 2009 and will probe into perceptions of the ‘other' by inviting artists to explore the realms of the other within and without.
